The Ture Nirvane Cooperative Company
The Torri Superiore Cultural Association has turned over a large part of the ecovillage for use as a cultural centre. This includes a guest house for holiday accommodation, a restaurant, and training facilities for courses and workshops. This holiday centre is managed by the Ture Nirvane Cooperative Company, founded in 1999 among members of the Cultural Association.
The cooperative employs 5 people, mostly women, and is largely supported by the resident community in daily chores like cooking, shopping and cleaning. We have chosen to operate as a cooperative company as we are a not for profit enterprise, and because we believe in the value of direct participation of all members, equally sharing power and responsibilities.
