| GEN is a worldwide ecovillage organisation, Founded in 1995, it numbers thousands of members, offers educational programmes and information services, and promotes the ecovillage model to national and international bodies like the United Nations. |

| From 1999 to 2003 the main office of GEN-Europe was located in Torri Superiore. One of the three GEN IS (Information Services) hubs is active at Torri. Presently Torri functions as the legal headquartes of the GEN. Torri is also a founding member of the RIVE– Rete Italiana Villaggi Ecologici (www.ecovillaggi.it). |
